Central Montreal Hotels

Canada’s capital and also the host to the third largest French speaking community, Montreal has many feathers in its cap. It is the highest navigable point on strategically located island in the river of St. Lawrence.

Because of the countless churches spread throughout the city, Montreal is otherwise known as the “City of a hundred Belltowers”. The term was more popularized by Mark Twain’s quote “”This is the firsttime I was ever in a city where you couldn’t throw a brick without breaking a church window!”

The prices for hotels here range from 23$-45$ or more each night depending upon the hotel. Hotel Champ de Mars was reviewed by A Lonely Planet. The hotel is not very big or stylish in comparison to those near the main town. It is small but offers comfort and privacy along with excellent service.

The new Montreal Escape Comfort hotel offers rooms at the rate of $58 to its guests. Yet, another roomy hotel along the same lane is the La Tour Centre Ville that offers studio apartments for a comfy stay and service apartments for holding conventions. La Tour Centre Ville is a 169- room placed right in the centre of downtown.
